“Our creativity continues to shine on the global stage, drawing admiration and respect. This heritage is the truest measure of what it means to be Nigerian — proud, resourceful, and innovative. ” - President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

The Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP) is a flagship initiative that aligns seamlessly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s R enewed H o pe A gend a — a bold commitment to economic growth, youth empowerment, and digital innovation.

CLAP is not just a programme — it is a movement to:

  • Build new creative industries that drive job creation and export-ready IP
  • Support young Nigerians to scale their talents into sustainable ventures
  • Enable inclusive digital access and innovation in animation, fashion, gaming, film, and music
  • Champion Nigeria as the cultural capital of Africa

"Nigeria sits at an inflexion point where our global cultural impact is at an all-time high, combined with a new progressive administration, the time is now to support the talent and institutions that power the cultural, entertainment and creative economy."

— Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy

The Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) as drivers of both economic growth and cultural engagement primarily generate income through the trade and commercialisation of intellectual property rights whilst creating new jobs in higher occupational skills, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. With advancements in technology, especially the digital and streaming revolutions, creative and knowledge-based industries have become leaders in disruption and innovation, emerging amongst the most dynamic sectors in the global economy. In addition to its economic benefits, cultural and creative industries generate non-monetary value that can contribute significantly to achieving people-centered, inclusive, and sustainable development.

We are dedicated to fostering the growth of Creatives & their ventures. CLAP is central to the Honourable Ministers FMACCEs’ core objectives of expanding the Cultural and Creative Economy (CCE) to $100bn by 2030 and creating 2 million jobs. In line with CLAPs mantra “leaving no one behind”, the CLAP platform will deliver through aggregating resources and securing partnerships with a broad range of organizations that cover every facet of the space.
